58³Ô¹Ï has been ranked No.1 in the UK for Electrical and Electronic Engineering by the Guardian University guide 2027

Our programmes in the category include Electronic Engineering, Computer Systems Engineering and Control and Instrumentation. We also teach a degree apprenticeship in Applied Electrical/Electronic Engineering Systems


This outstanding achievement reflects the dedication of our staff, students and graduates, and recognises the high-quality teaching, support and learning experience that define Electrical and Electronic Engineering at Bangor.


We are passionate about helping our students develop the skills, confidence and practical experience needed to succeed in a fast-moving and exciting industry. Through hands-on learning, specialist facilities and research-informed teaching, we prepare graduates to tackle challenges and make a difference in the technologies that shape our everyday lives.


Being ranked first in the UK is a significant milestone for us. It recognises the hard work of everyone involved in our community and reinforces our reputation as a place where students can thrive academically, professionally and personally.

We have a proud history of Electronic Engineering at 58³Ô¹Ï. Our programmes offer students the opportunity to explore areas including electronics design, embedded systems, communications technologies and emerging digital technologies. Throughout their studies, students gain valuable practical experience and develop the problem-solving skills that are highly sought after by employers.
